What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freight Crew Supervisor/Inventory Specialist (FT) position at Day's Market?
Freight Crew Supervisor will manage our Freight Crew and their efforts to unload products from the pallets and displays as they arrive to our store from the warehouse. The Freight Supervisor is in charge of instructing and training team members regarding proper methods of product handling, case cutting, product rotation, and display of merchandise. Will be in charge of assisting the driver with unloading the product delivered to our store off the semi truck. Once unloaded, oversee and assist the Freight Crew as they stock the products to the shelf. Deliveries arrive three times a week. Must be available Tues, Thurs, Saturday mornings from 5 am to 12 and Monday, Wednesday, Friday (2 of the 3) early mornings for working products out of the warehouse as needed. Is responsible for all inventory in the warehouse/back room. Is responsible to review all vendor products brought in and taken out of the store. Is responsible to total up all invoices from vendors for a weekly report. This is a full time position (35-40 hours/week).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- · Follows through and achieves all company policies, programs and directives that apply to stocking operations.
- · Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- · Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, etc.
- · Must be able to stand for long periods.
- · Must be aware of store needs and follow safety precautions
- · Must learn where products are located in the store.
