Dayspring Pens is an e-commerce based retail company in Virginia Beach. We are looking for two production team members - people who loves detail, technology, and an active work environment with a small team. New team members will learn the entire order fulfillment process from picking, to laser personalization, polishing, and packing each order. Our team uses a variety of technologies including many web based applications and laser marking/cutting machines.

We are looking for someone who is naturally attentive to detail, thoughtful, careful, precise, efficient, and able to work in a team environment. Other successful employees have transitioned into the position from food service as line cooks, baristas, administrative office staff, and working college students. A high school diploma is required.

Had You Worked Here Last Month, You Would Have:

• Picked, personalized, packed, and shipped approximately 3,500 orders to people all over the world to create a great customer experience upon delivery.

• Performed our regular quarterly hand count of all inventory

• Processed returns and exchanges

• Processed incoming stock shipments to ensure quality control for all our products.

The Best Candidate for This Job Will Be:

• Detail Oriented - Experienced in shipping and receiving, quality control, and able to carry a task to completion with little supervision.

• Personable - Able to cooperate with a small team, receive feedback, and adjust.

• Physically Able - Capable of lifting 40 lbs and standing all day to complete tasks

• Analytical - Experience measuring how tasks are performing.

• Strategic - Able to set and accomplish goals through planning.

• Technically Experienced - Some familiarity with a keyboard is required. Experience in Google Suite or Microsoft Office is preferred.

• Competitive - Willing to be coached to be more efficient and productive.

Task List

Daily:

• Process all orders each day including the item picking, laser personalization, polishing, packing, and shipping of each order.

• Sort prepped packages for carrier pickup including USPS, FedEx, and UPS.

• Restock the working spaces for the next day.

Weekly:

• Clean the shop to ensure an organized and safe work environment

General information

• Part time - 20 hours / week

• In peak times of November - December and April- June, up to 40 hours per week available! Overtime pay awarded during peak season.

• Pay Rate: Starts at $14.00 / hour

• Available hours are mornings from 8:30 am until completion. 3-5 hours a day on average with 2-3 days a week minimum commitment. During peak seasons of April, May, June, November, and December daily commitment increases to 8-10 hours daily. Saturdays and Sundays may also be required during peak seasons.
