What are the responsibilities and job description for the Punch Laser Operator position at DBW Staffing?
I. POSITION PURPOSE
To set up and/or operate machines to punch, laser, crimp, cut blanks, or notch metal workpieces between preset dies, according to specifications.
II.ACCOUNTABILITIES
May be responsible for one or more of the following:
- Activate machine and observe operation to detect misalignment or malfunctions
- Install, align and lock specified punches and dies using gauges and hand tools
- Inspect pieces for conformance to specifications, visually or using gauges or templates
- Read job order to determine location of holes or cutting line
- Keep track of number of parts being run
- Keep work area clean and safe
- Choose proper tooling for specific jobs
III.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to read prints
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
- Must be available to work overtime, if needed
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.

VI.WORK ACTIVITIES

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Pay Range: $18.50 -$20.50 based on shifts
Shift Schedule:
1st shift 6:00 am – 4:00pm (Mon-Thursday)
2nd shift 4:00pm – 2:00am (Mon-Thursday)
Weekend Shift 6:00am – 6:00pm (Fri/SAT/SUN)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $20.50 per hour
