Salary Range $32,842 - $52,875
Purpose of Classification:
The purpose of this classification is to receive, store, and distribute parts and tools needed to repair and maintain County-owned vehicles and equipment.
Essential Functions:
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Receives, reviews, validates, and logs requisitions for parts; enters requests for individual unit orders; and updates computer system.
Receives incoming orders, packages, or deliveries; inspects deliveries to verify receipt of correct materials and of entire order; verifies accuracy of packing slips and receiving documents; and posts incoming items into computer.
Stocks parts, supplies and tools; organizes inventory items to facilitate identification and location of items; and maintains related inventory records.
Issues parts, tools, and supplies; fills work orders for parts/supplies from inventory; pulls stock to fill work orders; reviews work orders to ensure accuracy and closes out completed work orders; and maintains logs/records of all materials checked out or issued.
Maintains organization and cleanliness of storage areas; and performs general cleaning/housekeeping tasks associated with maintaining warehouse and work areas.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; one year of experience in automotive repair, inventory control, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education,training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.
