Video Editor Intern

Internship Summary:

D.C. United is a professional soccer club based in Washington, D.C. The club competes as a member of the Eastern Conference in Major League Soccer.  

As a Video Editor Intern for D.C. United, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about all club content, communication, and marketing efforts for the 2022 MLS season. As a chosen candidate creativity, hard work, a positive attitude, and dedication are musts.

The selected intern will be eligible to participate in in-stadium select home matches for the 2022 Major League Soccer Season, during which they will shadow the communications and content team to capture, edit, and log matchday clips for digital and social use.
 

Qualification & Requirements:

• Pursuing a college degree, preferably in the video production, broadcast, media production, or digital film
• Experience with creating video content for digital and social outputs
• Experience in sports, and soccer is a plus
• Eligible to receive college credit for internship
• Dedicate at least 20 hours a week to the internship
• Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
   

Competencies (KSAs):

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is necessary. Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign a must, After Effects, Camera Raw preferred
• Must be able to edit and color correct video content
• Must possess an excellent content sense
• Must be able remain comfortable yet energetic in the creative process
• Must demonstrate a high level of detail-orientation, especially under deadline pressure
• Must display organization and communicative skills
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use upmost discretion when privy to sensitive information
