What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drop Bury Manager position at DCOMM, INC?
Here at DCOMM, the Manager will be responsible for all aspects of our drop bury department in San Antonio Texas and surrounding area. Duties will include managing multiple subcontract crews, directing, and coaching crews on drop cable placement based on customer and contract requirements, while adhering to quality standards and specifications.
Qualifications:
- Experience in leading and directing multiple underground cable crews
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills are required
- Professional demeanor
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Must have a valid Driver license
- Must have clean driving record with a minimum of 3 years driving history
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS Work
- Ability to read and interpret construction and clients plant maps
- Preferably Bilingual
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the required headcount (W-2 and 1099).
- Track Key Performance Indicators, develop and execute initiatives targeting performance improvements (E.g., meeting set service level agreements).
- Manage productivity
- Travel within the market, DCOMM footprint.
- Hires, trains, and develops exempt and non-exempt personnel
- Develops and maintains, positive relationships/partnerships with the clients and customers
- Utilizes internal and external business partners to develop, document and implement effective work strategies to improve operational and financial performance
- Maintains and enforces company, federal, and state rules and regulations including but not limited to non-discriminatory practices, payroll, and overtime guidelines
- Documents appropriate employee disciplinary actions and administer as needed
- Ensures that resources (i.e., Company vehicle, machinery and equipment, meters, PDA’s, etc.) are secured and maintained in proper working order, conducts Bi-weekly inspections.
- Instills knowledge of all client’s company products and services Maintains records and documents in accordance with company (Client & DCOMM) policies and procedures
- Adheres to quality control standards and maintenance programs
- The work shall be completed in strict compliance with all laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations (including occupational safety and health standards)
- All other tasks as assigned by leadership
- Work outdoors in all kinds of weather and lighting conditions
- May work long irregular hours.
- Work while standing 50 to 70% of the time.

Salary: Depending on Experience

Pay: $70,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
