The Scheduler shall develop a detailed Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for all product activities considered important to the product teams success and present IMS data in a clear and concise manner consistent with accepted schedule management techniques and processes.
The scheduler shall support project leads with schedule status reviews and schedule update meetings.
Schedulers will perform IMS health checks and what-if analysis using government-approved software at the request of USG team leads.
Essential Job Functions:
Maintain project schedules and provide status briefs to Project Managers (PMs) and other staff.
Perform schedule assessments to ensure that schedules align appropriately with PM and Army-level timelines, particularly pertaining to Capabilities Sets and System of Systems fielding plans.
Proactively analyze and critique project progress and status updates for C4ISR systems vehicle integration efforts.
Develop and/or provide inputs to plans of execution to include scope, budget, resource needs, material needs, and schedule.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
High School Diploma and 16 years of experience, or Associates and 10 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree in a Business discipline (e.g. accounting, management, finance, economics, or related field) and 8 years of experience or Master's Degree and 6 years of experience.
Must be able to obtain a Secret U.S. DoD security clearance.
A minimum of 5 consecutive years, within the last 8 years, experience as a program scheduler developing and maintaining schedules of complex government or commercial engineering or technical programs (preferably ground combat vehicle systems experience).
Understanding of project timelines, schedule dependencies and critical paths.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Desired Skills:
Experience with DoD vehicle engineering, integration and fielding efforts.
Experience working with TACOM, PM and PEO offices within the Army Materiel Command.
Understanding of the Army acquisition process.
Familiarity with DoD ground combat vehicles.
Possess PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP) credential.
