The Group Business Leader supports our most senior clients and agency leadership, by shaping the vision for shared success, building the right teams to deliver, and increasing DDB NY’s profitability.
They lead the team in a manner that encourages, mentors, executes, and supports company ambitions and growth plans. Sets the short- and medium-term vision for their clients and defines the ways of working to achieve objectives with clarity and accountability.
Our Group Business Lead can synthesize complex problems and situations to drive for simplicity and action. They are trusted across all facets of the agency and the clients, and they are experts at their clients’ businesses, customers, and plans and can apply that knowledge to driving positive business outcomes.
They are true partners to strategic and creative leadership, and they seek new solutions and ways of working to ensure we are consistently driving toward integrated, modern, and famous creativity.
They can command the room, are confident to think quickly, say "no" when it is in the client's and agency's best interests, and reduce swirl and friction both in strategic/creative thought and in agency operations.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall account performance, growth, and profitability
- Builds and maintains positive and enduring client relationships across multiple levels including senior executives
- Acts as senior client’s business partner
- Maintains comprehensive understanding of client business
- Understands the marketing strategy of the client’s business
- Ensures the agency consistently delivers measurable value for the services that are provided
- Is proactive in making strategic recommendations and cross-promoting value-added services
- Leads negotiation of client proposals
- Responsible for financial oversight of account

Qualifications
- Demonstrates exceptional communications skills
