Description
We are an auto dealership group seeking an experienced Controller. He or she will be responsible for exercising sound judgment to make independent discretionary decisions regarding the dealership’s overall financial and office workflow. The Controller is the key dealership executive for managing the accounting functions and related policies and procedures at the dealership. The Controller is the business partner to the team and carries out such policies and responsibilities. The Controller implements controls to ensure compliance with the Company’s policies.
Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Accounting degree or equivalent experience.
· 2 years of experience managing the accounting function and leading the accounting team of an automotive dealership or group.
· Outstanding written, verbal and presentation-based communication skills.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Experience with dealership management computer systems.
· Exceptional computer skills, including Excel and the Microsoft office suite.
· Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
· Provide accurate and timely reporting.
· Provide support to all departments to produce increased revenue, control expenses; contribute to customer satisfaction and excellent associate satisfaction.
· Ensure that the accounting records are maintained in an orderly, current and accurate condition.
· Ensure that all Company policies are communicated and followed.
· Maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies.
· Recruit, supervise and develop dealership office personnel.
· Cross train all desk in the offices.
· Ensure each schedule is reviewed each week / month as designated.
· Audit all balance sheet accounts and schedule regularly and address any possible problems while keeping CFO informed of problems and potential liabilities.
· Assist operations with dealership forecasting and budgeting.
· Ensure timely completion of all financial statements, monthly work papers and reports, and resolve any issues.
· Prepare reconciliation of all dealership balance accounts and purify reconciling items every month.
· Ensure that all month-end entries are completed in order to submit the manufacturer financial statement in a timely and accurate manner.
· Report the financial statements to the required parties each month.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
