On the back of our latest funding round, DealerPolicy is making a significant investment in our insurance vertical and seeking a dynamic, customer obsessed design expert to lead our UX and Design team. .
DealerPolicy is disrupting insurance distribution. We’ve teamed with top auto retailers in the country to deliver a unique point of sale, technology enabled insurance solution to car-buying customers. WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Translate company Vision, Objectives, and Key Results into a Design Vision for DealerPolicy’s Insurance Vertical
- Build and lead a world-class design team that delivers elegant, motivating designs that drive customers and users to action
- Coach team members in and out of the UX and Design Team to develop new skills and advance their careers within DealerPolicy
- Ensure the Insurance Vertical UX and Design Team executes against the company vision and priorities delivering designs in a scheduled and timely fashion to allow Product to maintain a robust, deep Initiative, Epic, and Feature Backlog ready for Engineering to execute against
- Establish customer and user research processes and standards; execute against these standards to deliver insights throughout the customer journey
- Communicate customer and user research results throughout DealerPolicy; influence to ensure across the organization to ensure the customer is front of mind at DealerPolicy
- Partner with Marketing to represent the DealerPolicy Brand throughout our products and leverage the Brand to drive product performance
- Set and maintain standards that reinforce DealerPolicy’s brand and are easily executable by the Design and Engineering teams
- Deliver quality products by ensuring designs put Customers and Users first and are executed against during product development
- Drive innovation in the Insurance industry by blowing up the standard form-based processes and replacing it with an intuitive, delightful Customer Experience
- Establish a Persuasive Design Center of Excellence within DealerPolicy and promote the principles of persuasive design throughout Product and the broader organization
Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Required
- Absolute passion for customers and users and creating exceptional experiences for them
- 10 years leading a UX/Design team
- 10-15 years in the UX and design space
- MA/MS in Design, Human Factors Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, Behavioral Science, or a related field or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated success building and leading multi-disciplinary design teams
- Track-record of coaching and developing the careers of others in the design space
- Demonstrated success managing multiple work threads in a complex, multi-product design shop
- Working knowledge of persuasive design principles including the work of thought leaders such as Robert Cialdini, Steve Krug, BJ Fogg, and others
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
- Comfort and experience working with multi-variant testing tools
Preferred
- Certified work in Designing for Persuasion Emotion and Trust (PET)
