Healthcare Internal Audit Analyst

Dean Dorton, one of the largest accounting and consulting advisory firms in the southeast, is looking for a Healthcare Internal Audit Analyst to join our nationally-recognized healthcare consulting team. This role is essential in working with our clients in the healthcare industry, from physician groups to multi-hospital systems, in supporting their daily operational needs and requirements.

In this role, you will…

• Work directly with other members of the healthcare consulting team on client projects and assignments, including operations, internal audit, and regulatory / compliance projects.
• Conduct enterprise risk assessments of client processes and procedures to ensure regulatory guidelines are followed.
• Conduct internal audits and compliance investigations in accordance with professional standards. Responsible for assisting clients with planning and conducting financial and operational audits, including the following tasks:

• Documenting processes;
• Identifying risks and controls;
• Identifying audit issues and developing appropriate recommendations;
• Drafting the audit report; and
• Participating in client interviews and reviewing audit issues and recommendations with the appropriate personnel.

• Prepare reports of findings that provide operational recommendations to the daily operations of a client.
• And, travel to client locations on an as-needed basis to support their projects and needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make a daily impact on our clients in the healthcare industry. Dean Dorton is seeking applicants who have a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, accounting, or a related field. Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with a healthcare organization working in administration, internal audit or compliance. And, you will catch our immediate attention if you have worked on developing continuous auditing or monitoring projects for healthcare entities. Finally, certifications such as CPA, CIA, CHIAP or CHC are preferred.
