What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator – Entry Level position at DeBrand Fine Chocolates?
Location(s): Fort Wayne
This position will work on the production floor overseeing set up and operation of the production machines. This role is a behind the scenes position that supports our well-established reputation for producing an outstanding product! DeBrand produces only the finest gourmet chocolate products and each piece of chocolate must meet the highest standards!
Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday – Friday or Tuesday – Saturday
Responsibilities and job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Machine operation / setup experience preferred but not required
- Should be able to work with touch screen HMI (Human/Machine Interface)
- Should be able to take a logical approach to making appropriate machine adjustments to achieve the desired results
- Must be able to work with basic tools to do machine tear down / cleaning / setup
- Leadership skills
- Responsible for the pace of the line production
- Quality conscious
- Ability to maximize efficiencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to make quick decisions and multi-task
- Comfortable in production and able to safely and repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
