SUMMARY
Manages sales team including inside sales and customer service. Has oversight of the company’s outside sales representative. Responsible for all house account sales activities, from lead generation through close. Develops and implements sales plan which will meet business goals of expanding customer base for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge and assists customer with product applications.
- Markets products appropriately by interfacing customer’s design and engineering to help customer improve their product and ultimately reduce costs.
- Develop knowledge of and participate in inside sales quoting activities.
- Represents the company to our customers and prospective customers in a professional manner.
- Regularly schedules visits with customers both in person and virtually.
- Develops annual house account business plans in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer.
- Continues to develop machining potential for our customers through the use of trade partners.
- In conjunction with the CFO, develops, calculates and communicates pricing changes annually (or more frequently if needed).
- Assist with reviewing of surcharge changes on a quarterly basis with the CFO.
- Participates in marketing events, such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
- Follow-up for collection of payments as requested.
- Maintain an understanding of technical and commercial castings in order to understand customer needs and requirements.
- Assist in developing and managing the appropriate marketing materials and applications.
- Arranges for regular visits of customers to DFI.
- Provides timely feedback on the status and competitive nature of quotes.
- Assures customer issues are handled appropriately and effectively.
- Reviews customer websites and vendor sites that relate to DFI business strategies and identifying best practices and emerging trends.
- Develops a database of qualified leads and works the prospects regularly and effectively.
- Gathers and submits detailed business information for pricing and presentation of solutions to identified prospects' business problems.
- Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
- Participates and contributes to the development of educational programs offered to clients, prospects and company employees.
- Responsible to act in accordance with all DFI policies and procedures.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and / or Experience
Associate’s degree strongly preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in a manufacturing industry. Dedication to providing great customer service and leading DFI to complete our vision of being Supplier of Choice.
