SAFETY MANAGER
Responsibilities:
· Perform onsite safety audits, inspections, and sampling at company projects.
· Correct unsafe conditions, practices, and behaviors.
· Offer onsite personnel recommendations for future hazard abatement.
· Design and implement a safety incentive program
· Frequently train and educate company personnel on safe work practices, procedures, protocols, and regulatory rules.
· Maintain accurate compliance reports, records, and logs (OSHA, MSHA, DOT).
· Review and act on project inspection checklists and daily safety meetings.
· Document site visits, third party inspections, discussions/conversations, follow up and violations.
· Manage employee injuries.
· Conduct post-accident and injury investigations.
· Implement changes necessary to avoid repeat of injury/accident.
· Manage all light duty/restricted and return to duty work.
· Ensure company worksites are equipped with proper supply of PPE, safety equipment and drug testing material.
Requirements:
· Past experience in Safety Management as director or manager in company of similar size and industry.
· Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
· Comprehensive knowledge of MSHA, OSHA and FMCSA regulations. Excellent oral and written skills.
· Proven ability to write safety policies compliant with regulatory agencies
