Position Title: Buyer

Department: Manufacturing

Reports To: Supply Chain Director

General Summary: This full-time position is for Buyer. The Buyer’s job is maintaining supplier contracts, monitoring product inventory, and placing additional orders according to demand. This person will work closely with Suppliers and Vendors to determine product and shipping needs

Essential Job Functions:

• Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
• Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers and vendors
• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
• Review existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility.
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Placing purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
• Placing purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services. to vendors
• Monitor and update relevant departments regarding price fluctuations of goods and vendor pricing
• Manage an efficient flow of goods to ensure optimum production
• Create, maintain, and manage BOM Data in all current systems
• Create and maintain UPC numbers
• Preparing procurement reports, including the past due report and vendor-managed reports
• Manage data in our current systems
• Supports and assists in maintaining ISO 9001 Compliance
• Additional duties related to operations and manufacturing

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
• Proven experience in supply chain operations – 2 years preferred.
• Experience using supply chain management software and tools
• Knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
• Knowledge in Material Resource Planning (MRP)
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• LTL, Full Truck, and parcel shipping knowledge
• Must have a high degree of confidentiality and ethics
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times in a dynamic work environment.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Reliability and punctuality
• Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical abilities
• Proven skills, including time management, prioritization, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication - both written and verbal
• Fully proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Work history that demonstrates a strong work ethic
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to work hard

Schedule:

Salary : $50,300 - $63,600
