We are currently looking for a strategic Buyer with an entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit to join our team. This position plays an integral role in planning exciting and profitable product assortments, vendor management, and site merchandising by using their experience and instincts through negotiation, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to meet and exceed our growth goals. Don't know anything about decks? Don't worry, we will teach you!

Responsibilities: 

• Make purchasing decisions that lead us to meet our sales and inventory goals
• Become a product and market expert in your categories
• Develop strong relationships with our vendor partners
• Analyze market trends and competition
• Maintain product and purchase order data in our system
• Be a champion for your products at DecksDirect

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred, but not required)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• High aptitude for learning new software
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Desire and ability to work cross-functionally
• A passion for data and analysis
• A sense of humor (required)
• Ability to travel 2-3 times each year
• 3 years of buying or procurement experience

• Full-time, Salaried Position
• Reports to: Director of Merchandising
• Office Location: Plymouth, MN
