RECEIVING SUPERVISOR

DecksDirect searching for an energetic Warehouse Receiving Supervisor to join our fast-paced warehouse team. The Receiving Supervisor plays a key role in leading the department and holding the department accountable to receive, evaluate, putaway, and replenishment of products while ensuring accuracy and that the operational standards are consistently met.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a warehouse team of approximately 5 -10 people to hold accountable for following inventory goals
- Schedule and manage shifts on a weekly basis to ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Keep track of metrics and performance goals to identify trends and anticipate issues
- Evaluate and improve processes to ensure the proper handling of the product as well as the accuracy and efficiency of receiving, putting away, and replenishment of orders
- Manage relationships with transportation service providers, manufacturers, suppliers, internal departments, and customers
- Manage the returns process to ensure accurate and timely resolution of returned products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management or an equivalent amount of experience
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse Supervisory experience
- Self-directed, flexible, entrepreneurial, and resourceful
- Experience managing daily workforce and hourly production team members by setting and enforcing policies with disciplinary actions when needed
- Knowledge of compliance issues (Legal, HR, OSHA, Safety, etc.)
- Experience in Excel and Netsuite preferred
- Strong math skills that enable you to create and track metrics to understand what meaningful metrics say about performance
- Strong interpersonal skills; above average oral and written communication skills
- Manage time effectively with limited supervision, well-organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, and lift 50 lbs
Position Details:
- Full Time: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 5:30 pm
- Salaried / Exempt (Not eligible for overtime)
- Reports to: Operations Manager
- Location: Whitestown, IN
- Internal position: Not remote or telecommute
