Description
A Decorworx Designer must be agile and flexible, using his/her creative skills for branding, interior design, and environmental and experiential design for public spaces. It will be the primary responsibility of this designer to provide branded, relevant, and innovative design solutions for all assigned projects which elevate our partners’ images and physical spaces.
Qualifications
- Portfolio showing experience with and a solid understanding of corporate graphic design and branding.
- Ability to think spatially and successfully design floor to ceiling branded environments for retail spaces.
- Ability to successfully design branded product packaging and signage.
- Experience working with “soft”/“hard” substrates, building/manufacturing product, and print set- ups.
- Familiarity with interior design, the strategies of and relevant trends.
- Skilled in the Adobe Creative Suite including, but not limited to, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat.
- General knowledge of and a willingness to learn and use additional tools that support retail design, brand design, and interior design.
- Ability to work off a creative brief, within the constraints of a budget and timeline.
- Knowledgeable researcher.
- Ability to design with accuracy, focus on details, and an aptitude for measurements and precision.
- Embody creative endurance and a mature persistence to juggle multiple projects over long periods of time.
- Good time management skills, organized, and the ability to prioritize and switch-task as needed.
- Takes direction and constructive critiques well, while also having the ability to work autonomously and provide self-direction.
- Good listening skills and aptitude for processing information to achieve the best results for customers and team members.
- Confidence to contribute ideas and ability to articulate creative solutions to team members and company leaders.
- Ability to communicate with team members face-to-face, by phone, email, text messaging, and video conferencing.

Primary Responsibilities
- Execution of environmental and experiential graphic design solutions from concept to completion.
- Execution of branded graphic design solutions from concept to completion.
- Apply interior design principles and relevant knowledge of trends and methods to design projects.
- Articulate design methodology and explain solutions to internal and external customers in both verbal and written scenarios.
- Actively participate in function Level 10 meetings and Creative Ring Critiques.
- Attend all required meetings associated with assigned projects.
- Consistently meet defined deadlines and milestones for assigned projects.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to encourage growth, push creativity, and maintain relevancy.
- Prepare for and present relevant creative trainings, assigned by the Creative Director, to elevate team members.
- Be a positive problem-solver looking for creative solutions to elevate the customer’s business, the Creative function, the company, and all team members.
- Communicate needs and coordinate priorities with the Creative Project Strategist weekly, or as needed.
- Provide timely and consistent verbal and written communication between his/herself and teammates.
- Continually prioritize and champion his/her own development of design skills, understanding of our industry(s), interpersonal skills, and professional skills to maintain relevancy and a competitive edge.
- Follow all defined processes, embrace the culture code, and support company initiatives.
Pay rate is hourly and DOE. Graphic designers with minimal/no environmental design experience generally start around $15/hr.
