Position Summary

Deepwatch is seeking a high-energy Business Development Representative for a newly defined role designed to support the Deepwatch mission of securing the digital economy by tenaciously protecting enterprise networks - everywhere, everyday. The BDR team will play a key role in driving our continued growth nationally by partnering with their region’s sales and marketing teams as well as external sales development partners to identify net new customers and revenue. 

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial startup environment.  You will be passionate about selling and helping advance innovative solutions and technologies to CEOs, CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, Directors and other security team members.


In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Develop solid understanding of the Deepwatch value proposition and customer buyer personas
  • Lead prospective customer engagements as the face of Deepwatch and first point of interaction
  • Establish relationships with key decision makers, influencers, project stakeholders, business and technical buyers, and partners within territory
  • Drive sales prospecting through identifying key points of contacts within assigned target accounts and building outreach through Hubspot, targeted campaigns, email, social media, and phone 
  • Research and develop outreach campaigns targeted to decision makers
  • Establish 2 new meetings each week through 75 daily contacts
  • Qualify sales opportunities from external sales development partners and deliver leads to the regional team at or above assigned monthly new pipeline and SQL quotas
  • Maintain knowledge on latest products and service offerings, value prop and pricing
  • Continuously focus on the Deepwatch Core Value of Customers Are Our Core. Develop trust internally and externally by ensuring our processes and outreach methods are best in class
  • Ensure a sense of urgency with inbound lead follow up and successful handoff to regional directors
  • Facilitate meetings and collaborate internally with Regional Directors, Solutions Architects, Sales Operations, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and Delivery
  • Partner with Marketing and Channel Account teams to refine Go-to-Market strategies and approaches
  • Design creative communications and outreach to channel partners 
  • Utilize CRM tool to track all activity and share metrics with broader sales team and leadership
  • Consistently cleanse and refine Hubspot/database/CRM to retain accuracy and efficacy

  • Remain current with cybersecurity news, techniques, and trends

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent experience in a related field
  • Possess 1 years of business development, sales or marketing experience in technology software or information security
  • Are highly motivated and adept at exceeding sales activity targets 
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and ability to interact with channel partners, sales leadership, and customer prospects on a daily basis
  • Understand software, computer, and network architectures at a fundamental level
  • Demonstrate ability to leverage social media and internet to support customer lead generation 
  • Possess prior experience with CRM tools like Salesforce
  • Possess experience with sales tools like Outreach, Salesloft, and more
  • Possess Google Doc, Sheets and Slides experience

Colorado* Candidates:

For applicants in Colorado, the salary range for this role is $64,000 to $80,000 bonus commissions stock options benefits. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
