Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the Squad Manager, the Lead Security Analyst will propel customer cyber resilience efforts by providing guidance and accountability for customers in the Deepwatch ecosystem. You'll be an integral part of the Squad supporting our customers by understanding their bespoke environment, needs, and challenges. Using your technical insight and expertise in customer communications you'll streamline the process between requests and results.
The Deepwatch squad is a unique approach to how we support our customers and ultimately provide an experience not found anywhere else. The Lead Analyst holds the responsibility of customer satisfaction and success, drawing on their technical knowledge to provide actionable recommendations to customers in a timely manner. You will play a key role in supporting some of the top organizations in the world and have the opportunity to develop your skills by working with the best security experts in the industry!
In this role, you'll get to:
- Reporting under the Squad Leadership to support customers and their security; create and work within project plans to mature customers and increase their cyber resilience
- Work in a subject matter expert capacity related to deployed security technologies and their alternatives, Deepwatch products, and Deepwatch Squad activities
- Keep up-to-date with information security news, techniques, and trends
- Learn new tactics, techniques, and procedures for incident detection
- Provide guidance on security best practices
- Assist Squad Manager/Director with tracking of initiatives, including planning and task delegation
- Coordinate and ensure the appropriate resolution of customer requests; ensure expectations and outcomes are clearly communicated to customers
- Work within and across Squads and other Deepwatch business functions to enhance Deepwatch's product offerings and mature Deepwatch's business practices
- Attend customer and internal meetings and provide technical guidance
- Interface with cross-functional teams to drive customer outcomes
- Ensure timely updates and responses to tickets, customers and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to the creation and/or maintenance of investigation reports and executive briefings
- Produce original content regarding new threats, techniques and information for internal and external consumption
To be successful in this role, you'll need to:
- Leverage strong verbal and written communications skills; ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
- A desire to deliver customer outcomes while operating autonomously with minimal support.
- Demonstrated experience in Cyber Security Operations or related field
- Possess incident handling and response experience (With preference for MSSP)
- Be skilled in prioritization of resources and organization of deliverables/requests
- Possess SIEM experience (Splunk preferred) or related/equal experience
- Possess experience with SOAR, Ticketing Systems, and Threat Intelligence platforms
- Possess experience with Operating Systems and Networks
- Have a basic understanding of modern EDR, email security, and cloud identity platforms
- Be able to position and discuss security issues with customer technical and leadership audiences to reach positive outcomes
- SANS, EC-Council, CompTIA Net , or Sec , GCIA, GCIH, CEH, CySA or equivalent preferred
- Degree in Information Security, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- Possess experience in a leadership or supervisory role

Statutory Pay Disclosure:
For applicants in NYC, CO, CA, RI, and WA, the salary range for this role is $106,250 to $150,000 stock options benefits. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
