Position Summary: Candidate will work in a formal restaurant-like setting using established rules of etiquette, in a non-tipping environment, perfect for those seeking steady hours and income. Flexibility is essential in this role, including occasional weekends and holidays. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare beverages before meals and serve beverage of choice to each resident.
- Prepare foods assigned by the cook, using daily menus and for special events.
- Set tables for upcoming meals and reset for the following meal.
- Take orders from the residents and assist them as needed.
- Inform residents what foods are available if they are unable to read the menu.
- Participate in plating and serving meals.
- Provide customer service to residents to allow a high level of resident satisfaction.
- Know residents by name and their food-beverage likes and dislikes.
Education, Experience, and Other Requirements
- Must be age 16 or older
- Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language
- COVID-19 vaccine or willingness to obtain vaccine required, reasonable accommodations will be considered
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
- State food-handling and kitchen regulations
- Operation of kitchen appliances (dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, coffee maker, ice machine, blender, food processor, meat slicer, mixer, etc.) and office equipment (FAX, photocopier, and telephone)
- Working 3-3.75 hours standing, walking, and moving about without the need to sit down
Preferred Qualifications
- Willingness to learn and help others
- Enjoyment in working with older adults
- Some experience in food preparation is preferred
