What are the responsibilities and job description for the CT Technologist - PRN position at Default Brand?
POSITION PURPOSE |
The Computed Tomography – Radiologic Technologist, under the supervision of the Radiologist, is required to perform routine CT procedures and invasive CT procedures as governed by the Radiologist. The Technologist must knowledgeable of cross sectional anatomy and the physics of Computed Tomography. The Technologist must be proficient in general diagnostic radiographic procedures, as needed. The Technologist must exhibit expertise in patient care based on patient’s needs appropriate for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient. The Technologist must utilize good public relations and decision-making skills to incorporate patient education and professionalism and adhere to the commitment of quality exhibited by the facility. |
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS |
Education: Graduate of approved school in Radiologic Technology as evidenced by verification of ARRT database. Diploma or transcripts are required upon hire. |
Experience: One-year CT experience is preferred. |
Licenses/Certificates: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. If not registered in CT upon hire, then must obtain registry within 18 months of hire. BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross). |

Must follow accepted safety practices for patient and hospital. Participate in Performance Improvement activities as required by JCAHO. Communicate in an acceptable and easily understood manner. Educates and adheres to Patient Bill of Rights Produce computerized computer tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered/directed by physician. |
