The individual for this role is creative and knows how to turn a product brochure into a solution-based story that generates leads. This candidate will get exposure to all areas of marketing from traditional media to digital marketing.
This position is being offered at our Twin Cities location with a hybrid work environment.
Essential Functions:
- Develop creative marketing campaign concepts to generate leads and brand awareness using both traditional and online marketing.
- Manage digital marketing agency (who assists with PPC, SEO, and SEM initiatives). Must have more digital marketing experience than managing social media.
- Be the conduit between sales and marketing when planning lead-generation campaigns.
- Work with resellers to brand MDI materials for their local markets.
- Work with graphic design to direct creative and write creative messaging for sell sheets, brochures, etc.
- Update the website content, create template-landing pages, and update the blog using WordPress. (no coding experience required).
- Ability to lead photo and video shoots, as needed.
- Can write catchy headlines, mailers, and basic marketing materials that break through the clutter.
- Own and communicate marketing KPI’s measuring the effectiveness of marketing programs and taking corrective actions to achieve objectives.
- Collaborate and develop trackable measurement plans, tied to business objectives, for all marketing activity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications.
- 5 years: of marketing experience. Plus, working in B2B marketing with a reseller or distributor network is a plus.
- Ability to show past creative work/portfolio or examples of past projects and campaigns.
- Solid background in using a variety of marketing channels to promote products.
- Strong written and verbal communication, copywriting, and proofreading skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to independently move multiple projects forward, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to interact and operate successfully with all levels of management, a diverse workforce, and a wide range of capabilities and personalities.

- A plus - working knowledge of WordPress, Salesforce, and/or Mailchimp.

Environment and Physical Demands:
- A traditional work week (M-F) with MDI core hours. Work during non-traditional hours is periodically required.
- Basic vision required.
- Works in a typical office setting which includes;
- Continuously sit, use of computer monitor, mouse, and keyboard, standard telephone, hearing and talking.
- Occasionally lift, reach, rotate hands, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Occasionally works in a typical factory environment-including high noise levels, moving machinery, conveyors, dust, and chemicals.
Other:
- Periodic travel between MDI facilities and event locations off-site.
- Ability to independently travel by car and airplane for occasional customer meetings and events.
