Located minutes from downtown Austin, Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is a level IV Designated Trauma Center with more than 600 healthcare professionals working together to provide inpatient, outpatient, surgical and emergency care for Cedar Park and the greater Austin region.
Position Overview
We are seeking a FT experienced MRI Tech to join our team! The MRI Tech performs technical functions including (but not limited to) MR procedures, patient tracking, prior patient film retrieval, assisting Radiologists and other technologists.
Responsibilities
- Operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies
- Selects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware
- Provide superior care and safety of patients while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
- May be required to be on-call during weekdays and/or weekends
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) certification in Magnetic Resonance (MR)
- American Heart Association (AHA) approved course in Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 (two) years of experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Demonstrated knowledge of technical, diagnostic, and emergency procedures related to Imaging/Radiology
- Ability to be on-call during weekdays and weekends required
