Short Description:

Knight Insurance Company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Administrator to support the onboarding process for new Managing General Agents (MGAs) and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs). The Program Administrator will play a critical role in ensuring that all necessary licenses and contracts are in place, coordinating with legal and compliance teams, and maintaining effective communication with Knight's partners. Additionally, the administrator will assist the Program Manager with administrative tasks and handle surplus lines reporting to support the smooth operation of the program.

Pay Range: $40,000-$45,000 Per Year. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Program Administrator to join our Information Systems department. As a Program Administrator you’ll help with legal and compliance coordination, partner coordination, administrative support, and surplus lines reporting. You’ll form part of an entrepreneurial insurance company with a friendly but fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time role in which you’ll report to the Program Manager. You must be willing to work onsite at the Los Angeles Corporate office.

What you’ll do as a Program Administrator?

  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to facilitate the onboarding process for new MGAs and TPAs
  • Ensure that all required information and licenses are obtained by the MGAs and TPAs.
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of documentation provided by the MGAs and TPAs during the onboarding process.
  • Work closely with the legal and compliance teams to ensure that contracts and agreements with MGAs and TPAs are in place and adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in reviewing contractual documents to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Track and monitor the status of contracts and underwriting guidelines to ensure that they are up to date.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Knight's partners, providing timely and accurate information regarding program onboarding and administrative matters.
  • Respond promptly to partner inquiries, addressing any concerns or issues related to licenses, contracts, and compliance.
  • Assist the Program Manager with various administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and organizing program-related documentation.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation of program-related activities, ensuring easy retrieval and reference.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to ensure accurate and timely reporting of surplus lines policies and related data to regulatory authorities.
  • Stay updated on surplus lines reporting requirements and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

What we look for in our Program Administrator?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in insurance administration, program management, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance licensing requirements and regulatory compliance a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with partners and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in using office productivity tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with surplus lines reporting is a plus.
