The Group Exercise Manager is responsible for overseeing the Group Exercise Department and the various programs such as Yoga, Pilates, Silver Sneakers, Aquatics, etc. Ensure personal attention and state of the art instruction. Manage and develop activities in a cost effective manner. Responsible for building cutting-edge, member-focused programming schedules in coordination with your General Managers and District Group X Manager.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
o Drive Group X participation through proper scheduling, talent acquisition and member service
o Excellent physical condition and professional manner
o Manage and provide leadership to team members
o Review and approve commission schedule and incentive plans
o Define and communicate the Club and departmental mission, vision, values and performance expectations
o Provide performance feedback to team members on an on-going basis
o Manage monthly and annual budget by department
o Ensure Instructor Certifications are maintained
o Monitor the cleanliness, safety and maintenance of group exercise class equipment
Qualifications
o A bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or equivalent experience, preferred
o A minimum of one current National Certification (ACE, AFAA, ASCM, AEA, NSCA, etc.)
o 1-3 years of management experience, preferred
o 3-5 years of experience as a group exercise class instructor, preferred
o A valid Les Mills certification in Body Pump, Body Combat and CX WORX is preferred
o PC literate, including Microsoft Office and various other products
o Expert knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, preferred
o A valid New Mexico Driver License
o Must have a valid CPR/AED certification, including infant and child, on your first day of employment and maintain valid certification throughout employment
