The administrator assists with fostering analytical and collaborative environment activities such as the following:
- Respond promptly to all internal data requests and ad hoc research projects for district and campus administrators.
- Utilize data disaggregation software to analyze and provide comprehensive, summary, and visual data reports designed to provide timely information to campus and district leadership teams.
- Distributes edits and reports to appropriate staff for analysis, verification, and correction.
- Manages state testing uploads in skyward and other systems such as OnDataSuite
- Supports district users in the use of district Information System (Skyward)
- Manages and updates student data information in systems
- Works closely with technical support pertaining to input, reporting, and maintenance of student historical data
The administrator promotes improvement of PEIMS through activities such as the following:
- Manages the District’s PEIMS / TSDS submissions related to student records maintenance for attendance, class scheduling, grade reporting, transcripts, demographic data, and other data linked to automated student records.
- Plans, executes and manages a continuing training and information dissemination program to enable administrators, special program directors, clerks, and teachers to effectively carry out District procedures respective to student records and PEIMS/TSDS reporting.
- Implements policies established by state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy in areas of information technology and management, related to PEIMS/TSDS
- Compiles, maintains, and files all reports, records, and other documents required for PEIMS submissions and/or audits.
- Runs, edits, reports and provides verification checks on data to ensure accuracy of information.
- Assists campuses and special program directors with data updates, compliant with PEIMS /TSDS submissions.
- Works with the PEIMS staff to develop ad hoc reports to assist with data validations for PEIMS /TSDS submissions
- Responsible for data quality in compliance with PEIMS/TSDS/Student Attendance Accounting Handbook (SAAH).
- Responsible for Person Enrollment Tracking (PET) reporting (PID enrollment tracking) as required by TEA PEIMS / TSDS.
- Develops and maintains a strong sense of customer service; communicates with various stakeholders, including campus personnel, District and state administrators, other Districts’ PEIMS / TSDS personnel, and software vendors
- Responsible for developing training materials; trains and monitors District personnel in areas related to PEIMS / TSDS
The administrator provides student data support through activities related to:
- Coordinates assignment of State Service ID's for all state approved courses, as described in PEIMS Data Standards /TEDS.
- Oversees all data uploads and data tracking for TSI, ACT, SAT, PSAT, AP, STAAR/EOC and SIRS files
- Develop and implement plans to address campus information management needs, including evaluation of student registration, scheduling, student information systems training, etc. relating to data processing and campus administration support services
- Manages, monitors and provides support in regards to student grades, GPA, class rank and college readiness.
- Oversees technical aspects of master scheduling and provides campuses support in this area
- Creates and monitors master schedule, student loader, and course catalog
