Production Accountant

DeLallo is seeking candidates for a full-time Production Accountant at our Mount Pleasant, PA facility.  This role is located in a food production facility and will be responsible for gathering, calculating, entering, and reviewing production data on a daily basis. The Production Accountant will also be responsible for inventory control, including physical inventory counts.

Essential Functions:

• Gathering production data from supervisors and utilizing that data to create production batches for costing purposes.
• Reviewing production batches for accuracy and entering them into the system.
• Allocating direct labor to items produced on a daily basis.
• Reconciling materials used to finished goods produced on a daily basis.
• Investigating variances to explain results and validate the accuracy of information.
• Supporting production managers by providing data relevant to the operation upon request.
• Maintaining an accurate inventory system in both count and location of items.
• Strictly adhering to all safety and food safety regulations applicable to the facility.
• Assisting with the preparation of routine and ad hoc reports.
• Assisting with cycle counts and biannual physical inventory counts.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Degree in Accounting or related field preferred, 2 years of experience required.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Detailed oriented and high level of organization required.
• Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft products required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work at a fast pace, prioritize work and meet deadlines
