Our top Candidate will bring at least one year of optometric technician experience or one year of medical front desk experience, preferably in a busy ophthalmology, optometry or medical speciality practice. However, we do have a strong training program and will train the right candidate without medical experience.

Our Diagnostic Technicians are responsible for assisting the Ophthalmologist and Optometrist in the exam lane and to input data into the Electronic Health Record as well as administering treatment as allowed and ordered by the physician.
Responsibilities
Patient Care:
- Uses autorefractor and lensometers (automatic and manual).
- Performs visual field tests.
- Performs OCT.
- Perform Cell Count.
- Perform B-scan.
- Perform Orbscan/Pentacam.
- Performs Iol Master, as well as Manuel A-scan.
- Performs Fundus Photo.
- Monitors patient flow, ensuring the physician exam rooms are always full after testing.
- Escorts patients to front desk after exam.
Administative:
- Ensures that exam rooms are tidied between patients, including sanitizing equipment.
- Clean all lenses used by doctors.
- Monitors diagnostic schedule to stay on-time of patient scheduling.
- Billing and Coding is billed and ordered.
Qualifications
- Possess at least one year of experience in a clinical setting.
- Prefer experience as an ophthalmic scribe or technician, but not required.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be a well-organized team-player with great attention to detail.
- Demonstrate superior computer skills.
