Job Description Summary:
Responsible for creating, organizing and filing incoming documents from Production. Creating First Article Reports using DICSUS software (will train). Review incoming specifications and drawings for legibility and link them to the appropriate work orders in an ERP system. Archive and retrieve documentation as required for production and First Article Reports. On occasion, perform Final Inspection processes as required (back-up inspector as needed).
Duties/Functions:
- Create First Article reports using data gathered from various departments
- Pulls documents/certifications from paper and electronic archive for First Article Reports
- Communicates with Shipping to assure Quality paperwork is included with shipments as required
- Reviews and links documentation to work orders within an ERP system
- Coordinates monthly document destruction
- Collects organizes and files various documentation
- Acts as an occasional “back-up” to final inspection
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Quality field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience in cable and harness assembly is a BIG plus.
- 2 years of prior manufacturing experience. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Basic computer skills; Understands and effectively utilizes desktop applications and manufacturing systems as required.
- Basic language, reading, writing and math skills.
- Must be able to communicate and support a team environment. Must be able to mentor or train peers. Must demonstrate leadership skills and support company policy.
Education:
-High School Diploma or equivalent and/or 4-6 years of relevant experience in Quality or cable/harness manufacturing.
Requirements:
-Requires simple oral communication skills, visual acuity and manual dexterity
-Must be available for overtime work
-Must be able to stand for periods up to four hours
-Must be able to lift at least five pounds
