Job Description:
The successful candidate will act as part of the Delaware Resource Group Site Lead for on-site customer interface and the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Maintenance Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all matters dealing with the A-10 Full Mission Trainer (FMT), other assigned Aircrew Training Devices (ATD) and any assigned Ground Support Equipment.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Site Lead/ Simulator Technician is responsible for conducting technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to ATDs in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization
- Troubleshoots technical problems and issues with the training devices
- Determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications
- Recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution
- Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications
- Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives
- Readies training devices for customer use and assists with mission specific preparations
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Interface with on-site customer to provide a training schedule organized to meet site requirements
- Work with TSSC and ECP Team during any associated tasks to coordinate ATD S/W and H/W updates
- Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance IAW applicable technical and/or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) manuals and/or recommended procedures
- Document all scheduled/ preventive maintenance on Air Force Technical Order (AFTO) Form 781 IAW and within program S/W management toolsets
- Monitor and plan product supply support management and conduct analysis to support spares and provisioning recommendations
- Troubleshoot ATD technical problems and determine technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications
- Conduct technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives
- Attending debriefings as required to aid in the rapid identification of emerging issues that would require company intervention to avoid ATD downtime
- Document all unusual operational/maintenance problems to support identifying emerging failure trends
- Identify and work with CLS Team as necessary to resolve DRs early to mitigate adverse training impacts
- Conduct ATPs to support testing, operational checks, and DR corrections
- Monitor obsolescence and report potential impacts
- Run daily readiness and weekly, monthly, annually, or per other periodic COR-approved schedules checks utilizing approved ATPs, checklists, and/or Simulator Certification (SIMCERT) tests during non-training hours as part of a Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI)
- Complete off-equipment repairs, return parts to inventory, and log corresponding data in S/W management toolsets
- Willing to work and interact with all level of personnel from maintainer communities to engineers and other companies
- Communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant interface with customer personnel at all levels.
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to establish and maintain a library of technical documentation
- Performs all maintenance and logistics support for RSP inventory and test equipment
- Work under ISSM and ISSO direction to launch preconfigured ACAS scans, run maintenance scripts, perform updates and patches, and return results to the ISSM and ISSO
- Must be willing to work any shift including one (1) weekend (Saturday and Sunday) per month for 8 hours per day
- Must be fully capable and qualified for OCONUS deployment
- Maintain a professional appearance during working hours
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Technical Report writing
- Experience with drawing/schematics reading and interpretation
- Fault Isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level
- Airframe & Power plant (A&P) license
- Military Fighter Aircraft experience
- Previous Field Service FSE/REP experience
- Military aircraft maintenance experience
SUGGESTED MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
- Associates degree in appropriate discipline, or two years related experience
- Five years related experience if education requirement is not met
- Network Plus certification
- Five years’ experience in managing training device maintenance
- Working knowledge of base support agreements
- Knowledge of DoD adopted industry standards relating to ATD maintenance
- Knowledge of Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (AFOSH) and OSHA requirements
- Network Plus certification
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Active Secret Personal Clearances (PCL)
- Must be a US Citizen
