The Lean Champion/Continuous Process Improvement Manager (CPIM) monitors and improves the organizational processes within Delaware Valley Floral Group Operations, with the goal of making them as efficient as possible. The CPIM maps out all workflows, removes waste, and nonvalue add activities, and presents solutions. The CPIM acts as the project manager for the implementation of solutions. This position is responsible for all essential functions related to developing and maintaining a strong Lean Six Sigma culture, tools, and metrics. The position will focus heavily on development and implementation of new LEAN initiatives. The CPIM will collaborate with all areas of the business to lead LEAN projects from development to implementation.

- Leads and directs the continuous improvement team, managing performance by setting goals and coaching and developing team members in How we Lead to achieve results and reinforce a positive culture.
- Leads or sponsors cross-functional teams on major improvement opportunities. Participates in the planning process associated with DVFG performance, provides subject matter expertise in support of improvement planning.
- Utilizes Lean, Six Sigma techniques and CI tools to lead the organization in data-based decision making, and driving actions to generate measurable improvements.
- Delivers effective Continuous Improvement training courses (LEAN Training, Belt training, etc.) and programs to help increase team capability and awareness of the Continuous Improvement tools to facilitate training programs to culminate a self-sustaining culture of continuous improvement at all levels within the operation.
- Provides management with updates via tracking reports on project progress, in line with set priority and timing targets.
- Identifies and prioritizes the top improvement opportunities and provides the appropriate data to ensure leadership consensus and buy-in.
- Becomes a business partner with operations & functional management, to identify opportunities, utilizes systematic problem solving (including Root Cause Analysis, Kaizens and DMAIC methodology) to eliminate/reduce losses while focusing on People-Process-Data to obtain measurable and sustainable results.
- Involvement in the formulation of long-term improvement strategies to deliver annual business plans.
- Updates key communications and provides summaries to business leadership.
- Mentor coach and train employees on how to make improvements using data and data analysis (statistical methods) and other improvement methods Empowers employees to propose and justify improvements and or process changes.
- Monitor data and metric trends to identify areas of waste and prioritize the development and implementation of solutions.
- Act as the subject matter expert in continuous improvement methodologies, providing thought leadership and guidance to the business.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required
- Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methodologies and the ability to teach and model them
- Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills
- Must possess knowledge of LEAN principles, Problem Solving Tools (RCA, DMAIC), Six Sigma, TQM, SPC, PIP and QIP
- Strong analytical capabilities related to business, including the interpretation of financial summaries and identifying the drivers of performance results
- People Leader of 5 years with demonstrated work experience successfully defining, deploying, and executing continuous improvement initiatives required
- Knowledge in Warehousing and Logistics, Inventory Management, RF Systems, Material Handling Equipment, Transportation, housekeeping and all pertinent warehouse safety related operating policies and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position supervises a staff consisting of non-exempt, hourly employees, and is responsible for leadership and performance management of these employees.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, salaried position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with additional hours/days/shifts as needed.
