Director of Logistics Operations

Where
This is a hybrid position, starting each day at our delivery station in Fort Worth with flexibility to work from home or our corporate Westlake, TX, office in the afternoons.

Your Team
You will be leading the Fleet, Dispatch, and Driver Teams that support our Amazon last mile delivery operations. In addition, you will interface directly with corporate office departments supporting Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, and Accounting. This team operates 7 days a week from approximately 8 am - 8 pm CST.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for direct management of 60 Delivery Associates, (2) Fleet Personnel, (1) Performance Analyst and (4) Dispatchers, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching and performance management.
• Monitor all processes and drive best practices for areas of team responsibility
• Manage Amazon delivery station relationships including responding to concerns, implementing operational changes, and regular status checkins
• Work collaboratively to support peers and partners in delivering a best-in-class experience to all customers (internal and external)
• Ensure deadlines are being met on projects and task expectations, report any barriers to management
• Hold weekly team meetings to ensure alignment and buy-in for all new processes, updates, or operational issues
• Conduct regular 1-1s with Fleet Personnel, Dispatchers and Delivery Associates
• Keep up to date with all DOT regulations to ensure that dispatch is meeting the expectations
• Provide ongoing thought leadership to drive profitability and growth in the business
• Ensure KPI’s are met and work on taking steps to correct as needed to drive efficiency, safety, performance and profitability.
• Ownership of Division’s Profit and Loss, including revenue growth and expense management
• Responsible for Capacity Planning and divisional payroll approval.
• Ensure leadership and team adherence to all policies and procedures
• Manage morale and drive team engagement
• Drive Dispatch strategy and growth
• Dispatch as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• 3 years of management experience required
• Prior experience in last mile logistics
• Veterans Highly Encouraged to Apply

Salary: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 plus bonus potential
