Work you’ll do/Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced developer to join our project team, specializing in EDI (OpenText). As a lead consultant, you will be responsible for understanding requirement, designing, mapping fields in ADI, and testing / deployment. The projects are run in a complex SAP environment with heavy volume of transactions.
Client Implementation Projects
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to facilitate the successful implementation of EDI solutions leveraging OpenText technologies
Requirements Gathering and Analysis
- Engage with clients to gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring alignment with EDI best practices and OpenText capabilities
Solution Design and Documentation
- Design comprehensive EDI solutions based on client needs, documenting functional specifications and system configurations to guide implementation
EDI Development and Configuration
- Utilize expertise in EDI standards and OpenText technologies to develop and configure EDI solutions tailored to client requirements
Testing and Quality Assurance
- Conduct thorough testing of EDI implementations, ensuring adherence to specifications and validating system functionality and data integrity
Client & Internal Collaboration and Support
- Foster strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and guidance throughout the implementation process and beyond
Project Management
- Assist in project planning and coordination, monitoring progress, identifying risks, and proactively addressing issues to ensure successful project delivery
Training and Knowledge Transfer
- Deliver training sessions and workshops to clients and internal teams, facilitating knowledge transfer and ensuring effective use of SAP Business Objects solutions
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and enhancement of SAP Business Objects solutions, contributing to the continuous improvement of implementation methodologies and best practices
- Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
- Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes

The Enterprise Operations as a Service Offering addresses our clients’ needs for on-going operations of their technology and business process investments through multi-year contracts. We deliver continuous modernization, upgrades, and address incremental business changes as part of our engagements through our 5 key offerings: SAP Operations, Oracle Operations, IT Operations, Supply Chain Operations, Finance Operations.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
- 6 years proven experience in EDI implementation projects, preferably with OpenText technologies
- 6 years developing and configuring EDI solutions, including testing and quality assurance
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and analyze business requirements effectively
- Understanding of EDI standards and protocols
- Experience in project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall
- Familiarity with other related technologies such as ERP systems or integration platforms
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Must be able to start the project if selected for hire by April 22, 2024
- Certification in relevant areas such as Certified EDI Professional (CEDIAP) or OpenText certifications
- Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations related to EDI, such as ANSI X12 or EDIFACT
- Analytical/ Decision Making Responsibilities
- Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products
- Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
