Summary
The Emergency Medical Technician I functions under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse, Department Director, Clinical Manager of Emergency Department, and physician(s). The Emergency Medical Technician assists with patient care by performing clinical & supportive functions that he/she has documented competency to perform. The Emergency Medical Technician adheres to policy, procedures & established standards of practice.

Education
Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Vocational School/Specialized Training
Experience
None required
Certifications/Licensure
- State of Florida EMT or CNA; BLS issued under American Heart Association
- CPI within three (3) months of hire into position
Other Qualifications
Successfully completes EKG competency within three (3) months of hire into position
