Job Summary
DTG2GO is seeking a Production Supervisor to join the team in our Cranbury, NJ location. The Production Supervisor will provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees by using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of the company. The Production Supervisor will plan and delegate duties and assignments as well as assume responsibility for maintaining the production schedule and quality. He/she will be responsible for the overall safety and must promote and ensure the Company’s commitment to Safety and Health principles.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain overall health of the facility.
- Work with HR and make recommendations for staffing decisions.
- Monitor department’s performance to identify potential production issues in order to proactively address challenges and find creative solutions that enable the team to meet goals.
- Work with HR to maintain employee performance documentation and annual reviews.
- Manage facility schedule and staff levels as production dictates for maximum productivity with minimum labor costs.
- Report employee incidents and safety incidents or hazard to Management team.
- Work with QA team to minimize rejects and report rejects to Management team.
- Identifies, recommends and implements changes to improve productivity and quality.
- Report any equipment issues to Management team.
- Manage SLA for facility.
Job Requirements
Competencies: (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Minimum of two years of experience in production.
- Minimum of two years of managerial/leadership experience.
- Familiar with OSHA requirements preferred.
- Knowledge in Microsoft office required.
- Knowledge of AS400, WMS and RF scanners preferred.
- Forklift experience a plus.
- Bilingual Spanish required.
Experience: 2 years of Leadership and Production Experience.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Computer Literacy
Work Environment
- The work environment includes cold and heat temperatures and may experience excessive humidity.
- Working indoor around machinery with moving parts and heavy equipment.
- Work environment may include noise and require working proximity to others.
- The job requires to work in-person.
Physical Demands
- Standing and walking continuously for up to ten hours per day.
- Bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting and reaching heights on an intermittent basis for up to ten hours per day.
- Grasping, pushing and pulling of materials on an intermittent basis for up to ten hours per day.
- Reaching and working above and below the shoulder level on an intermittent basis for up to ten hours per day.
