DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Establish and promote an engaging and inclusive learning environment to maximize student learning in both the face-to-face and online classroom.
- Focus on supporting and assessing student learning and academic achievement to promote student success.
- Actively support student retention initiatives that promote program completion.
- Develop innovative, dynamic, inclusive, and engaging learning environments that support student learning and success.
- Collaborate voluntarily and enthusiastically with colleagues in the academic discipline and with other faculty colleagues to develop effective learning experiences for a diverse student body.
- Serve the community through outreach activities.
- Commit to ongoing educational and professional growth.
- Engage fully in course, discipline, program development, curriculum development and assessment.
- Attend and actively participate in discipline, division, and college meetings.
- Engage learning management systems to deliver course material.
- Demonstrate teaching effectiveness which supports student learning and encompasses pedagogies for student success to meet course and/or program requirements.
- Maintain professional development to assure currency within field of practice.
- Possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and spring/summer.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Communication or in related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Communication
- We are particularly interested in candidates whose graduate research and/or coursework relates to issues of race, gender, marginalized groups, and equity
