Project Controls Specialist

Essential Job Functions:

• Provides technical guidance in analyzing and interpreting complex sections of project scope documents and assists in project management
• Develops and implements project controls standards and procedures
• Participates in proposal preparation and client presentations
• Prepares conceptual, preliminary and definitive estimates
• Maintains project schedule in accordance with company standards and procedures
• Ensures that all project scheduling activities such as schedule development, updates, progress reporting, and recommendations for corrective action comply with company and client requirements
• Assists in the determination of project manpower requirements and prepares periodic forecasts of personnel utilization.
• Ensures that all project activities such as budget development, budget monitoring, updates, cash flow requirements, and recommendations for corrective action comply with company and client requirements.
• Advises project management of cost impact of proposed design or construction changes.
• Advises clients of cost trends and their effects on anticipated project expenditures.
• Establishes methodologies and supervises life cycle cost analyses, economic/financial evaluations, productivity evaluations and value engineering analyses 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, or Equivalent
• Experience in Project Controls, Oil and Gas industry preferred
• Current and valid driver license with clean driving record
• Bachelor’s Degree or university degree with relevant construction or project management, business administration or engineering degree is desired

• Excellent interpersonal skills with team members at all levels, agency representatives, clients and subcontractors
• Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications. Working knowledge of computer scheduling software (Primavera, Microsoft Projects) is required.
