Tri Delta is looking to hire a Communications Specialist. The Communications Specialist is a member of the Marketing and Communications Team. The primary objective of this position is to achieve enterprise measures through a variety of digitally based communication channels. This role frequently collaborates with the Marketing and Communications Team, Data Insights Team and others throughout Executive Office (EO) as needed to ensure a long-term communications strategy is implemented as cohesively and excellently as possible. The Communications Specialist is responsible for website management and Tri Delta email communications to ensure Tri Delta is maximizing communication efforts with the organization’s various targeted audiences.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ensure Tri Delta’s brand strategy is consistently implemented on the organization’s website and chapter sites.
- Update, maintain and add to website external content. Partner with the website developer to ensure content and design are implemented and functioning correctly.
- Edit photos (resize, recolor, etc.) for the website and email communications, as needed.
- Support chapter websites by answering member questions and maintaining site content.
- Strategize communications in partnership with the Digital Communications Specialist, Marketing and Communications team and others on EO staff to ensure a well-rounded communication approach.
- Update and oversee the email communications calendar to ensure emails are strategically planned for maximum exposure to audiences.
- Keep marketing and communications team abreast of communications calendar and any potential roadblocks that could arise.
- Collaborate on the creation and execution of Tri Delta’s email marketing communications and campaigns.
- Ensure consistent and strategic communication in all email messaging.
- Provide leadership, coordination, and support in the creation and delivery of regularly scheduled email communications to target audiences within the organization.
- Assist in maintenance of accurate member records to ensure communication efforts are maximized among all audiences.
- Collaborate with the Data Insights Team to provide regular website, email and web metrics and analysis reports for the marketing and communications team to inform future communication strategy (to include working with Google analytics).
- Ensure sufficient communication data is provided to project managers throughout project scope to ensure changes to communication strategy can be effectively implemented.
- Maintain current knowledge of web and email communication trends. Share important insights and recommend improvements to Tri Delta’s communication strategy as needed.
Ideal qualifications include:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of related experience, including at least 1 year of website management
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
- Possesses skills in website management, communication strategy and data interpretation
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Pardot, WordPress and basic HTML highly preferred
- Well-versed in search engine optimization (SEO) and digital editorial standards
- Self-starter, analytical, creative and tech savvy
- Ability to model, teach and promote EO Employee Values
