Work Force Coordinator
Reports to: AVP of Community Outreach
The Work Force Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and completion of workforce development programs while remaining aligned with the work plans and strategies of the programs and goals of DHA with the Greenwood, Leland, and Hollandale communities.
MIMIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, public health, or public administration or related field
- Two years’ experience working in a similar field or environment.
- Two years or more residence in the service area to be served preferred and must have a working knowledge of community resources
- Must have a valid Mississippi Driver’s License, proof of automobile insurance
Essential Duties:
- Will work with young adults to access their career goals and needs.
- Develop a customized Action Plan for achieving those career and economic objectives.
- Provide direction and guidelines for staff to accomplish assigned duties, contributing to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Provide support and a positive working relationship with DHA staff and partners.
- Handle all interactions in a professional manner, remaining calm in the face of harassment or stress.
- Ensure that all related administrative tasks are completed and current.
- Responsible for learning specific requirements for programs, rules, regulations and keeping staff trained and updated.
- Communication with supervisors and staff to keep apprised of issues and status of assignments.
- Participate in activities and strategic planning for the Delta Health Alliance Workforce Development, including completion of training and implementation of programs in various settings.
- Represent the Delta Health Alliance in collaborative community-wide activities while developing positive working relationships with local, state, and federal agencies.
- Participate in formalized tracking and reporting systems to maintain program fidelity, identify program strengths, recommend program changes, and evaluate program outcomes.
- Weekly travel to Indianola, Leland, and/or Hollandale
- Other duties as assigned.
