Delta Industrial Services Fairbanks, LLC is seeking the right candidate for our Service Technician position. The right Candidate should possess a strong work ethic, ability to complete a variety of tasks with minimal supervision,be willing to work as team member with other shop personnel, and have the ability to be present 40 hrs./week.

Service Technicians are responsible for performing repairs and preventive maintenance on a variety of heavy trucks, trailers, service trucks and other company vehicles and a variety of heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform Repairs/PM on semi-tractors, straight trucks, dry van trailers, company vehicles, service trucks and other equipment, to customer satisfaction.

Annual DOT inspections on both Trucks and Trailers

Complete required paperwork and enter data into software for each job.

Perform assigned tasks in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

2 years' experience on heavy tractors and trailers preferred.

Knowledge of Diesel engines, ABS, air brakes, exhaust, electrical systems, tires, etc.

High School Diploma/GED

Applicable Trade or Vocational Training preferred - provide certification, if any.

Proficient in basic computer skills.

Must have adequate tools to perform the tasks required.

Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position - lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, climbing, standing for duration of shift, etc)

Drivers License - CDL A preferred

Medical Card

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen test.

Effectively read, write and understand verbal instructions in English.

Growth Opportunity:

Evaluation for advancement to Shop Forman position possible after time.

Pay:

Pay rate determined depending on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
