Position Summary
We are looking for Estimators who can take on the responsibility for the overall planning and coordinating efforts to produce proper project cost estimates.
Responsibilities
- Review solicitation documents such as specifications and drawings to identify potential risks, opportunities and alternatives related to competitive pricing.
- Interface with vendors and subcontractors regarding information and quotations for proper cost estimates.
- Research, solicit, and build relationships within the supply chain.
- Determine type of materials, equipment, labor and subcontractors required for cost estimates.
- Input and organize data in estimating software.
- Successfully utilize On-Screen Take-Off Software (OST) to quantify materials.
- Successfully utilize Total Projects Logistics (TPL) to formulate proposal.
- Assist in preparing / presenting potential VE solutions and other marketing strategies.
- Perform mathematical calculations to enable proper cost estimates.
- Prepare for and participate in presentations/qualification of scope and methodologies.
- Prepare and submit final proposal with complete qualifications for proper cost estimate.
- Track and record bid results history for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Familiar with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, One Note, etc.)
- Familiar with Bluebeam Revu (preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans and city standards.
- 3 - 5 years' of construction experience preferred (in Underground Wet Utilities).
Nice to have skills
- Exposure to Microsoft OneNote
- Experience in On-Screen Takeoff (OST)
- Experience in the construction industry
- Call volume management in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
