Position Summary

We are looking for Estimators who can take on the responsibility for the overall planning and coordinating efforts to produce proper project cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Review solicitation documents such as specifications and drawings to identify potential risks, opportunities and alternatives related to competitive pricing.
• Interface with vendors and subcontractors regarding information and quotations for proper cost estimates.
• Research, solicit, and build relationships within the supply chain.
• Determine type of materials, equipment, labor and subcontractors required for cost estimates.
• Input and organize data in estimating software.
• Successfully utilize On-Screen Take-Off Software (OST) to quantify materials.
• Successfully utilize Total Projects Logistics (TPL) to formulate proposal.
• Assist in preparing / presenting potential VE solutions and other marketing strategies.
• Perform mathematical calculations to enable proper cost estimates.
• Prepare for and participate in presentations/qualification of scope and methodologies.
• Prepare and submit final proposal with complete qualifications for proper cost estimate.
• Track and record bid results history for continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Familiar with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, One Note, etc.)
• Familiar with Bluebeam Revu (preferred but not required).
• Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans and city standards.
• 3 - 5 years' of construction experience preferred (in Underground Wet Utilities).

Nice to have skills

• Exposure to Microsoft OneNote
• Experience in On-Screen Takeoff (OST)
• Experience in the construction industry
• Call volume management in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Data Entry: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
