About The Position
The Human Resources Manager (HRM) is a full-time position responsible for directing and coordinating all human resources activities including California compliance, policy and records management, recruiting, employee relations, benefit administration and management of the new hire process. This position supervises a part-time Human Resources Assistant. The HRM works onsite from our location in Stockton, CA.
Compensation And Benefits

About The Position

Compensation And Benefits
The Human Resource Manager’s salary is $72,000 - $80,000, depending on experience. This position is eligible for the following benefits:

- Review all policies, procedures and reporting relating to human resources and ensure compliance with federal and state law.
- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process, including posting positions, reviewing resumes, contacting candidates, scheduling interviews and participating in interviews, offer letter creation, background checks, etc.
- Develop, coordinate and track trainings for BSIS compliance, sexual harassment and company policy, procedures, etc.
- Supervise, train and develop the Human Resources Assistant.
- Manage employee relations including resolving employee concerns, answering questions, conducting investigations and advising management in appropriate resolution.
- Develop and manage human resources best-practices that promote employee retention and morale.
- Review, verify and process all new hire paperwork and maintain employee files.
- Implementation and management of the benefit administration process.
- Provide occasional support for payroll processing.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration or relevant field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a human resources leadership role required.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience required.
- Willing to support a 24 hour operation. May result in approximately 1-2 after hours calls per week.
- Strong and effective written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
- High level of integrity and the ability to keep information confidential.
- Strong working knowledge of State employment laws.
- Demonstrated proficiency in policy development, documentation and implementation.
- Ability to manage difficult situations with confidence.
- High level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
- Ability to explain new employment laws and policies to staff in a way that is understandable.
- Experience in the security industry and BSIS regulations preferred.
- Payroll experience preferred.
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP designation preferred.
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
