Position Summary

The Vendor Program Manager recruits, selects, and on-boards qualified third-party localization vendors to ensure capacity needs for Deluxe’s subtitling and captioning workflows. You will lead the development and execution of a metrics-based vendor partner participation program, working with key stakeholders to clarify vendor key competencies, expectations, and delivery requirements to ensure collaboration with the highest performing localization vendors.

About the Team (Localization)

Localization is the process of translating and adapting content to specific geographical regions for consumption in local markets. Though many services make up the elements of the localization process including dubbing and subtitling, the goal of localization is to be authentic to the content being created, protecting the creative vision, specifically for a target market, no matter their language, culture, or location.

Main Duties

  • Recruit, select, and manage the on-boarding and engagement process for qualified third party localization vendors, in accordance with Deluxe’s business needs.
  • Collaborate with other Global Translator Management team members to ensure vendor pre-qualification and testing, rate negotiation, training and management, as well as documenting vendor agreements and workflows.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain a formal Vendor Participation Program, confirming key competencies, expectations, and delivery requirements with key stakeholders and transforming this information into a transparent metrics-driven program, setting and tracking KPIs to engage top-performing vendors.
  • Maintain all pertinent data points to support overall capacity needs and maintain spending targets.
  • Support project management teams to provide project resources
  • Maintain a clear, shareable reference list of preferred vendors for global teams to use in project planning exercises and capacity requests
  • Build and maintain good relationships with vendors.

As part of Global Translator Management’s Translator Resource Support team, you will work cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, Community Support, Training, Linguistic Quality and Data Analytics teams to help Deluxe strengthen localization capacity and ensure quality vendor partnerships. This position reports to the Director of Supplier Management.

What You Bring

  • 3 years Vendor Management experience in the localization industry
  • Experience and knowledge in the localization industry as a whole
  • Experience and knowledge of the media and entertainment industry
  • Experience in subtitling localization preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Result-oriented attitude
  • Experience in working with multinational and multicultural teams, and cultures that extend beyond the corporate footprint
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, reacting quickly to escalations and able to handle high-volume communications from multiple sources
  • Skilled problem-solver who thinks critically and creatively and is able to determine root cause of issues
