What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Coordinator position at DENS Facilities?
Job Summary
This position reports to the Facilities Team and is primarily responsible for managing and maintaining the work order and CMMS systems for a specific client account. The role required strong communication skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize critical activities. This role will be responsible for coordinating a variety of activities and communicating with a range of clients, vendors and co-workers. The work will be a combination of field and desk work, requiring ability to work independently, provide data entry/ongoing documentation and effective communications.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate and track work orders in accordance with client’s work order system. This includes ongoing review of the system, generating and tracking work orders, and following up to complete/close out work requests.
- Work closely with the assigned Facilities Team to understand work order requirements, coordinate and communicate with all parties involved (stakeholders, vendors, etc), schedule and prioritize work.
- Work with team on preventative maintenance program, managing scheduling and ensure work is completed, and update CMMS system, as required
- Provide ongoing planning, scheduling and communications support to Facilities Team, as well as other support duties as may be requested.
On-Call Status
- Schedule subject to change, remaining flexible within reasonable notice
- 24/7 Response if applicable
Pre-Hire Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma
- Prior work experience illustrating good attendance, professional behavior, reliability
- Ability to follow orders given orally and in writing
- Ability to complete tasks and paperwork with basic supervision
- Computer skills (i.e., excel, word, outlook)
- Preferred - an ACTIVE driver’s license & reliable personal transportation for site travel
Physical Qualifications
- Manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools and paint
- Ability to stand, crouch, and climb to perform repairs, use ladder, and perform various types of manual labor
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Vision (with correction) sufficient for reading, performing repairs and painting

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time non-exempt position. Days and hours of work vary according to the business demands.
Travel
The nature of our business has worksites in a number of locations in the Greater Boston area. We expect our employees to remain flexible, and travel between sites may be necessary as the business demands.
