Job Posting for Lead Automotive Wheel Remanufacturing Technician at Dent Wizard International

Reporting to the Reman Fixed Operations manager, the role of the Lead Wheel Remanufacturing Technician is to support the day-to-day operations of the reman facility while maintaining a consistently high level of quality production.  The Lead Tech will set an exemplary standard of management, repair, personal appearance and general conduct for other employees.

Responsibilities:

Shop

  • Oversee all assigned repairs
  • Responsible for organizing work assignments and account information (i.e. QC logs, work orders, invoices, etc.)
  • QC wheels at each stage of repair process and final product.
  • D and describe non repairable wheels
  • Communicate with manager inventory/supply levels (i.e. valve stems, sandpaper, weights, paint, gas. etc.)
  • Direct and assist with daily and weekly housekeeping duties
  • Complete any and all needed documentation and place in “completed” box
  • Oversee and communicate to manager all equipment upkeep and maintenance (i.e. booth filters, CNC lathe, tooling, sandblaster etc.)

Sales

  • Support account development through quality and timely repairs and providing information on repair issues
  • Communicate with Manager and drivers on any work not completed (i.e. non repairable, damage to parts/tires, TPMS etc.)
  • Assist Manager in tracking volume of work and manpower needs.

Personnel

  • Assist Manager in tracking technicians’ performance (i.e. timely arrival, uniform, proper quality of work)
  • Coordinate daily work assignments/special instructions with technicians.
  • Assist in completion of paperwork and invoicing procedures.
  • Assist Manager with new technician orientation.
  • Assist and provide help for new technician training and/or cross training
