Job Description


The Sr. Associate, Digital Media Operations main responsibility is to assist in the preparation, implementation and management of digital media campaigns, including project timelines, gathering of assets, traffic instructions and creation of ad serving tags. This position is essential in the day-to-day running of the Media Technology department and designated accounts. This position requires an individual that works well in a team-based, fast paced, detail-oriented environment. While advanced Media Technology thinking is not expected, the successful Sr. Associate is resourceful and demonstrates the initiative to participate in advanced projects. The Sr. Associate, Digital Media Operations position is training-intensive and an aptitude for learning new skills (both technical and organic) and procedures is essential. At the end of the tenure, the Sr. Associate, Digital Media Operations will have a strong understanding of the systems and tasks involved in campaign implementation and execution, have a strong understanding of the digital media planning and buying process, and help identify new emerging tools and/or technologies that will enable Dentsu to work effectively and efficiently as an organization.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Media Technology Management:

  • Demonstrate multi-tasking ability; keep multiple projects on-track
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Third Party Ad Servers (Google Campaign Manager, Sizmek, Innovid) and rich media technology
  • Enforce taxonomy for each trafficking/reporting platform and ensure all are tracking as expected
  • Help resolve technical issues involved in running online ad campaigns (including trafficking of VAST/VPaid In-Stream Video, Rich Media and Audio)
  • Comparing data readouts across the platforms to ensure tracking accuracy, and help to troubleshoot anything that might have tracking issues
  • Work closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure that appropriate materials are received and/or distributed correctly
  • Coordinate and meet all deliverables accurately and in a timely manner
  • Work closely with media vendors and media teams to resolve billing discrepancies
  • Plan, organize, activate and control daily process

Client & Internal Relationships:

  • Support teams in preparing and delivering assets to media vendors
  • Work with media, creative and analytics teams at the onset of a campaign to help identify and implement all creative and technical requirements
  • Manage relationships with external vendors (such as rich media companies, media publishers, research firms, etc.)
  • Engages with all work-related contacts in a professional & respectful manner
  • Possesses mature and professional business acumen in personal and written communications
  • Attends all status meetings when appropriate

  • Demonstrates active listening skills and ability to apply learnings over time
  • Recognize recurrent or potential issues and problems, and know when to escalate and propose solutions, where possible
  • Takes clear ownership of assigned tasks

Communication Skills:

  • Express oneself clearly and concisely in written and oral communications
  • Write in a clear, compelling and concise manner
  • Organize ideas and information logically and sequentially

Qualifications


EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • 1-2 year industry experience
  • Proficient in MS office suite (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable with technology and computers (eg. Html coding)
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Effective time management skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of third-party ad servers and rich media technology
