Job Description
The Role
The HR Specialist performs a varied range of duties including but not limited to new joiners preparation & onboarding, HR policies and procedures and employee relations. Providing excellent external and internal customer service through effective and timely communication.
Life as a HR Specialist at Merkle
- Be the go-to person for all People Operations queries; handle stakeholder inquiries and escalating issues as required.
- Provide advice and recommendations on local employment legislation and work cross functionally in an effective and collaborative way with multiple stakeholders (such as IT and Finance).
- Assist with project delivery, project management and analytical support, as required.
- Intercompany transfer and internal movement management.
- Learning and Development: facilitate stakeholder learning and training and be the point of contact for all L&D matters.
- Performance management: Guide and advise managers about performance related matters.
- Employee Engagement: facilitate and leverage information to help evaluate and drive employee engagement.
- HR Administration: updating and managing employee files and policy documents.
- New joiner document preparation & onboarding: Arranging and conducting induction meetings for new starters.
- Leavers management: Assisting in the process for leavers. Conducting Exit interviews.
- HR Communications.
Qualifications
What we are looking for in you
- University Bachelor’s degree.
- 3 years professional HR experience.
- Working Knowledge of local labour laws.
- Excellent level of conversational and written Spanish and English.
- Great interpersonal skills with the confidence and ability to converse and liaise at all levels.
- Proactive and can-do attitude. Be able to work on own initiative and demonstrate tenacity.
- Able to handle sensitive information in a professional and confidential manner.
- Logical thinker and good attention to detail.
- Exceptional organisation and planning skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise across duties and projects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Eager to learn and enthusiastic.
- Strong excel and ppt skills.
- Knowledge with Workday is a plus.
