What you need to qualify A Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior or Development, Business or Public Administration, the Applied Behavioral Sciences, Industrial Relations or a job-related course of study determined by the appointing authority; OR Valid Certification as a Professional in Human Resource awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute, and one-year Human Resource experience. OR three years Human Resource paraprofessional or technical-level experience. Note: The State Certified Human Resources Professional (SCHRP) certification, awarded by the Oregon Chief Human Resources Office, substitutes for six months of human resource professional-level experience. Valid Certification as a SHRM Certified Professional awarded by a nationally recognized organization, substitutes for one year of human resource professional-level experience. As a Recruiter, you will: It is an exciting time to be part of the ODHS Recruitment Team. We are collaborating with the Office of Continuous Improvement to refine our recruitment process and implement Lean tools to help us do our work more effectively and efficiently. As a Recruiter at ODHS, you will partner with hiring managers to create strategic recruitment plans to attract the most qualified candidates to our positions. WORKING CONDITIONS Remote work or alternative work location will be considered in filling this position. The ability to report to Salem is required when business or operational needs are dependent on onsite activities. Position requires the incumbent to work a professional work week, (typically Monday – Friday) where the hours of work may fluctuate on a daily and weekly basis. Requires working with a high volume of recruitments, multiple projects, and priorities, dealing with demanding issues, managing confidential information, working with conflicting and/or short timelines. Is subject to fluctuating workloads, priorities in dealing with sensitive timelines and information. Occasional contact with angry or confused employees, clients, other agency representatives and members of the public. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Travel requires that the incumbent have a valid driver’s license or an alternative form of transportation.
