Salary Range: 92,204 – 126,017
Work Schedule: Full Time
Location: Norfolk Naval Station / Suffolk Compound
Duties:
Analyze network forensic missions, functions, and tasks as the Cyber Security Architect subject matter expert in the Cyber Forensics Division, with the mission to detect and prevent cyber exploits
Identifies systemic and application-specific security threats to tactical and administrative systems and approves the development of all defensive countermeasures to ensure proactive mitigation while sustaining the highest level of network readiness
Level of knowledge of commonly-used network security devices, appliances, and tools, such as Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPSs), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDSs), Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) applications, firewall/router devices, web content filtering, etc
Level of knowledge of Network Forensic tools, with experience in analyzing pcap and netflow data. Knowledge of Network Security Management software, such as Security Onion or Kibana.

Must be a U. S. Citizen
Able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
Incumbent may be required to perform shift work at any time which might include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The incumbent may be subject to recall or ordered to remain at place of duty during periods of emergencies, natural disasters, staff shortages and other unanticipated work interruptions or closures
